Hampi is one of those places that is impossible to forget. In the fourteenth century, Hampi was the capital of a great empire of Vijayanagar and and to this day the area of over 20 square kilometers is covered with well preserved ruins, temples and statues of the period. The village is surrounded by hills full of boulders and amazing rock formations. According to legend, this landscape was created by all-powerful army of monkeys.
